My singing talent ...
Yeah thats what i can call it now.I rediscovered myself last week... though not a 100% genuine one.
Had an Antakshari (a game where teams compete by singing songs) contest at my office. This was actually a prelim round for the City event that will happen soon. I had given my name just to have fun. Had a team member as a partner. She is a relatively much better singer which i realized there itself.I dont know why but the big boastful me was nervous there when it came to actual singing. Most of the time i would suggest the song and pass the mike to my pardner. But then i saw ppl having worse singing talent confidently crooning, I thought lemme try something. Did that but then dint get my male songs.
We won (not expected by me at all) the first round by some help from the audience. I was sure that we'll go poof - bust - crack in the final round here as the ppl in the finals were supposed to be good ones.. But then it wasnt a competition any longer for me. Feeling of being there was enough.
It started all well. 5 teams. 4 rounds.Surprisingly after a couple of rounds we were ranking second. This is where greed and ambition crept in. I wanted to win this as there were 2 more rounds to go. But eventually the first team maintained there lead of 5 points and came out as winners...
But then what was the moral I learned from this? or in fact anyone should.
None but one.
Cheat and try your luck. If you win move on. Otherwise come here and blog it for others..
