Protests.. boycotts...

There is a controversy about a popular bollywood actor who is being targeted unnecessarily for his supportive remarks for the people displaced by the Narmada dam construction. Now this is actually very unfair on the part of the the ruling party of Gujrat to dwell into such petty issues. Indirectly forcing the multiplex and theatre owners to ban the actors latest movie, Fanaa, is not what we call democracy. In the words of a newspaper editor, bycotting something is validated on two counts. First it should be backed by valid reasons.. second, no violence or threat of violence should be involved. This 'boycott' fails on both these counts. Actions like these may affect the cosmo image of Gujrat.
But as its said there is some positive in the greatest of adversities, the ban of this film may turn out to be a boon for the people of gujrat as the movie is overly pathetic. One of my colleague is still in state of shock after watching the movie. He keeps repeating the on screen dialogues. Loose screenplay. Kiddish dialogues. Stupid Coincidences. I'm sure this movie can be missed with ease.

The people should thank Government of Gujrat for their foresightedness.
